As far as present situation of the teledrama industry is concerned what I can remember as a person who involves in this field from beginning itself up to today, the high slandered of the industry at existed in 80,90 centuries.

I can see the creator, Nalan Mendis, as an extraordinary character of the few of the activists who had contributed to maintain the industry. I was entrusted to provide music to all the teledramas which he had created over 4 decades except for the first one or two teledramas. It is 25 in numbers. I feel I was fortunate enough to get that opportunity.

The special ability prevailed in him is the skill to plan the work in systematic and careful manner to grasp the inborn talent of the actors and after supporting crew of the creation being made them well aware of the creation.

He does not have any hurry to start a creation. His sole objective is to introduce excellent creation. We could think that anyone who observes his list of teledrams can see the lacks of audience around him within these few centuries.

I knew my own experience that he has given necessary background to every artist, who has contributed his creation, to perform his/her parts very lightly and freely. Therefore, he was able to maintain the high standard of the script and to provide the highest enjoyment to the audience.

My heartfelt thanks go to Nalan who gives his numerous contribution and cooperation to raise me as a director of music.
