According to my knowledge, I met Nalan Mendis, our talented Assistant Director, worked as a professional level in our country in 1982 while I was training stage teledrama “Hima Maliga”.

After that time, my preferred dress was Jeans and my appearance is just like a boy for that dress. Having carved it in the mind, when a senior member of media production company had rejected me for the character as to how I could act a character like “Lokki”. Nalan Ayya is the one who kept trust on me and come forward on behalf of me without any hesitation. Out of all the characters in the field of drama, I preferred so much my acting in “Bumuthurunu” teledrama. Nalan Ayya played a big role behind the story of selecting me for the character. I cannot forget him forever.

When we met him at the last time, he holds the post of Assistant Director of the “Gamperaliya”. We came across at the first time as a Director in the teledrama “Doodaruwo”’.  He was subtle to handle large team according to a stipulated timetable and collect all of our acting as one creation. His matured studies assisted in his successful outcome. He gained success all of his creations due to his thinking power. I feel my gratitude will remain every moment.
